We learned the happy news on December 6, 2022, yet our excitement was often overshadowed by anxiety.

They say things have a way of improving once you're at your lowest. Amazingly, I experienced this very phenomenon in fall 2022.

Being a "late bloomer" is just a part of my identity: it's kind of who I am. And it also ties into this whole journey I'm currently on.

Near the top I placed the word "happy," most likely subconsciously in that location, because, above all, isn't that the goal?

But this isn't something I'm going to just accept, at least not yet. I'm going to keep going, keep trying, keep fighting.
